No-Bake Orange Fruit Gelatin Rings

  1. Preparation of gelatin:

    • If using gelatin sheets, soak them in cold water for 10 minutes.

    • If you are using agar-agar, it is used directly in the hot liquid.

  2. Heat the orange juice  in a saucepan with the sugar (if using) until boiling.

    • For the agar-agar: add it to the boiling juice, mix well and let it boil for 2 minutes.

    • For the gelatin: squeeze it out and add it to the hot juice off the heat, mix until completely dissolved.

  3. Pour a thin layer of the jellied juice  into a ring mold or charlotte mold. Let it set in the refrigerator for 10-15 minutes.

  4. Arrange the freshly cut fruit  on the partially set jelly layer.

  5. Pour the remaining gelled juice  over the fruit gently.

  6. Refrigerate  for at least 4 hours, or until the jelly is set.

  7. Carefully unmold  and decorate with mint leaves before serving.
