Step 2: Preparing the Pot and Soil
Peppers thrive best in well-draining, nutrient-rich soil. To prepare the perfect growing environment:
Choose a pot at least 25–30 cm deep to allow root expansion.
Use garden soil mixed with organic matter, such as compost or chopped eggshells. This improves soil texture and adds calcium, which peppers love.
Ensure the pot has drainage holes at the bottom. Waterlogging is one of the most common causes of weak pepper plants.
Step 3: Planting and Watering
Once your pot and soil are ready, scatter the seeds evenly across the surface. Cover them with a thin layer of soil and water lightly.
Water daily, preferably in the early morning.
Keep the soil moist but never soggy.
Place the pot in a cool, bright spot, avoiding direct sunlight until the seedlings are stronger.
Within 3 to 7 days, you’ll begin to see tiny green sprouts emerging.
